Matthew Dale Bergdorf, 38, of Ripley, passed away suddenly on June 20, 2015 at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley.
He was born Oct. 1, 1976 in Marietta, Ohio, the son of Dale Ellis Bergdorf of Ripley and Gladys Marie (Parsons) Bergdorf, who passed away June 22, 2015.
He served his apprenticeship with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in Parkersburg, and was the owner and operator of Bergdorf Electric, LLC. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, firearms and spending time with his children.
Other survivors include his daughter, Kensey Bergdorf of Morgantown; sons, Blake Bergdorf, Jacob Bergdorf and Isaac Bergdorf, all of Ripley; and his sister, Angela Bergdorf Lane (Greg) of Red House.
A joint funeral service will be held for Matt and his mother, Gladys, at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 25, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans, with Pastor Bill Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Parsons Cemetery, Gay.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
