Giles E. Breedlove

Giles Edward Breedlove, 85, of St. Albans, died Thursday, July 23, at Hubbard Hospice House West, South Charleston. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of South Charleston and also the Masonic Lodge of St. Albans.

Giles was a retired associate engineer with the Mechanical Technology Group of Union Carbide with 43 years of service. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict and was a member of American Legion Post 73.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Okley Breedlove; sister, Mary Rose Henson; and brothers, William and Paul Breedlove.

Surviving are his loving wife, Betty Cook Breedlove; daughter, Judy Combs of Paintsville, Ky.; brothers, Kenneth Breedlove of South Carolina and Ralph Breedlove of Florida; sister, Doris Slaton of Florida; and granddaughter, Elizabeth (Wes) Royse of Glasgow, Ky.

Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Good Shepherd Mortuary, South Charleston, with Pastor Jody Pistore officiating. Burial will be at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the mortuary.
