Mamie Bell Cummings, 81, of Gay, passed away peacefully at her home on June 19, 2015.
She was born August 1, 1933, at Gay, daughter of the late James and Pearl Ice Jefferies. She was a homemaker and retired from Cedar Lakes, where she worked in the Cafeteria. She attended the Aplin United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening and raising flowers. She will always be known for her kindness and everyone who met her loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell in 2007; and by a brother, Donzil Jefferies.
She is survived by three sons, Randy (Delores) Cummings of Mt. Alto, Rick Cummings of Gay and Gary (Rhonda) Cummings of Gay; sisters, Verna Jones of Statts Mill, Evelyn Thomas of Kenna and Ruth Stalnaker of Gay; also survived by three grandchildren, Kimberly Cummings of Ashland, Ky., Scott Cummings of Cottageville and Casey Cummings of Statts Mill; and a step-granddaughter, Alaina Stanley of Gay.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 21, at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Danny Cummings officiating. Burial will be in the Aplin Cemetery, Gay.
