Jerome Christopher "Chris" Buck, 45, of Cross Lanes, passed away July 14, 2015 after a short illness. He was the son of Jerry and the late Libby Buck. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Carl and Lena Mae Buck and Raymond and Viola Gray.
Left to cherish him are his daughter, Mackenzie Buck; father, Jerry Buck; sister, Jessica Thompson (Eddie); brother, Chad (LeeAnn); nieces, Emily, Tabetha and Faith; nephews, Noah and Ian; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Chris attended Point Harmony, Andrew Jackson, Nitro High School, class of 1987, West Virginia State and received a degree in business administration. He worked for companies in West Virginia, Kentucky and Ohio. He was employed with Value City, St. Albans.
Chris played all sports growing up, ending with a true love for golf, at which he was not too bad. He scored a hole-in-one at Big Bend. His favorite golfer was Phil Mickelson.
A celebration of life service for Chris will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at Cooke Funeral Home, 2002 20th St., Nitro, with Pastor Rob Van Fossen officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home,
