I want to thank the Charleston Gazette-Mail for putting the list of delegates in the paper who voted against the concealed carry bill. If your name is on this list and you're in my district, you get my vote. This bill is the worst thing we can have in this state.

The Republicans in the state Legislature control both houses. They have a chance to do great things. They are scared to vote for seven RESA districts, thus doing away with 55 county boards of educations. As Trump would say, this is stupid.

So our Legislature passed a law that any idiot in the state of West Virginia can carry a gun easily, yet our bridges and roads and infrastructure and economy are all in the toilet. Thanks a lot.

I will vote against the Republicans during the next election simply because of this gun law. Allowing other people to come into our state with no restrictions is ridiculous and taking money from these counties who desperately need it right now is insane. The Republicans are insane.

Regarding the person who said they were not happy about being a union member in Tuesday's Readers' Vent - my crystal ball says he's lying.

The Republicans are going to bankrupt this state. Taking away the concealed weapons money is just stupid.

I work in a casino and the second-hand smoke is killing me. Now you'll allow everyone to carry a gun? That puts my life in direct danger. It's no wonder businesses don't want to come to West Virginia.

Let's not forget that this great country was founded on freedom from religion, not freedom of religion.

The West Virginia Legislature seems to love firearms. Wonder why they screen them out where they work?

If somebody said workers in right work states had wings and horns, the rest of the Kool Aid-drinking opponents would repeat it as fact.

So, to support the working class people are opposing legislation that would help put thousands of unemployed West Virginians back to work. Please, somebody, explain the logic in that.

I support the right to work law 100 percent. I 100 percent support the religious freedom law that protects my rights. I also 100 percent support my rights under the Second Amendment. However, I do not support the whacko law that allows for people to carry a gun without a permit. After 70 years of the Democrats draining West Virginia and keeping us at the bottom of everything, the Republicans should not be wasting valuable time on silly laws like this.

If you listen to all the Republican presidential candidates, all they do is talk about taking the country back. If you listen to the two Democratic presidential candidates, they want to take the country forward.

The Second Amendment says the citizen militia have a right to bear arms, but it also says well-regulated. We need that if we're going to cut down on 80 gun deaths every day.

With union employment in the private sector at less than 7 percent, why does everyone think right-to-work will determine whether or not West Virginia becomes a prosperous state "like North Carolina"? Right-to-work only affects the political influence of large public sector unions. Republicans and Democrats know this; it has nothing to do with jobs or wages.

To the person who called in about the liberal Democrats bashing Sarah Palin and saying she isn't running for anything - Obama is not running for anything and you Republicans bash him every day for everything.

We need to abolish the board of education and turn it over to be run by the state. Then when the school is called off for bad weather, so will state workers. This will put a stop to this foolishness.

What a ridiculous halftime show they had at the Super Bowl. It was a waste of time and money. It's the worst one I've ever seen and I think it was pure nonsense.

I would like to thank the neighbors on Washington Avenue in Nitro. They dug our car out in the last big storm and there was a total of five of them that did it. Thanks again.

In regard to the Super Bowl - Cam Newton was acting arrogant, but I guess Superman met his kryptonite. He needs to take it down a notch or two.
