Jewel Fleshman

Jewel Craft Fleshman, 95, of Campbells Creek, went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 13, 2015, at the Hubbard Hospice House surrounded by her family. She was born June 13, 1920, to Daniel and Flora Craft at Standard, W.Va. and has lived in Kanawha County most of her life.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a friend to all. She loved her home and family, loved to cook and make her delicious fudge, decorated for all holidays and always kept bible reading as part of her morning routine.

As a faithful Christian, for many years she was active in teaching Sunday school, vacation bible school, was a member of the choir at Fair Haven Baptist Church and was currently a member of the First Baptist Church of Eleanor, WV.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Wallace Fleshman; and her 12 siblings.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 75 years, Charles Fleshman; daughters, Mattie Wiseman of Copperas Cove, Texas and Rose "Winky" Holstine of Campbells Creek; and son, Charles "Peewee" Fleshman of Albion, Ind.; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; along with many other family members and friends who were blessed to have known her.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Mon. Nov. 16, at the Fidler and Frame Funeral Home, Belle, with the Rev David Panaro and the Rev Tim Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Tyler Mountain Memorial Gardens, Cross Lanes. Friends may call two hours prior to the service Mon.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Curtis Price Way, Charleston, WV 25311 or the charity of your choice.
