Dora Coiner

Dora Violet Gabbert Coiner, 92, of St. Albans, passed away Fri. Sept. 25, 2015, after a short illness, surrounded by her family.

Dora was the youngest of six children. A native of Goff Mountain and a lifelong resident of St. Albans. She was a 1942 graduate of Dunbar High School. Dora worked at Diamond Dept. Store, Union Carbide Corp., Sears and Bobby Brooks. She was also a longtime member of Lower Falls Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Nile Wilson Coiner.

She is survived by her children, Sue Matteson, (Jack), of Jefferson City, Mo., Gary Nile Coiner, (Kay), of Hurricane; grandchildren, Samantha Martin (Jim), of Lake Lotawana, Mo. and James Barnett (Betsy), of Indianola, Iowa; six great-grandchildren, Bret, Taylor, and Bailey Barnett, and Greg, Lynn and Nile Martin.

Celebration of Dora's life will be 11 a.m. Tues. Sept. 29, at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Donze officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.

Gathering of family and friends will be Mon. from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lower Falls Building Fund, P.O. Box 786, St. Albans, WV 25177.
