David Lane Cooke

David Lane Cooke, 52, of Nitro, died Aug. 1, 2015.

He will be remembered as a very loving husband and father, devoted to his two sons, a great friend to many and a loyal employee of the Toyota Manufacturing Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Chester and Sarah Beatley Cooke.

He is survived by Terri Lynn Cooke of Nitro; two sons, Charles Wayne Cooke of Nitro and Nicholas Lane Cooke of Nitro; three sisters, Bonnie Lee Kistler of Tallahassee, Fla., Sarah Frances Allen and husband, Rick, of Tallahassee, Fla., and Catherine Anne Kelly and husband, Monte, of Savannah, Mo.; family, Amos Ferrell and Roberta Kay Hobbs of Tallahassee, Fla., and Michelle Inez Grizzle of Dallas, Ga.; three nephews, Christopher Lane Kistler of Aurora, Colo., William Boyd Kelly of Savannah, Mo., and Henry Cannon Grizzle of Dallas, Ga.; four nieces, Susan Renee Kallem of Odgen, Iowa, Andrea Elizabeth Linville of Blue Springs, Mo., Mia Elizabeth of Dallas, Ga., and Rhyan Leigh Grizzle of Dallas, Ga.; and six great-nephews and -nieces.

There will be a time of remembering and sharing with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, in the multipurpose room of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, located on 20th Street in Nitro.

David will be forever missed by his family and friends.
