Basil C. Randolph, 92, of Ripley, passed away July 25, 2015 at his home following a long illness.
He was born June 15, 1923 in Charleston, a son of the late Brady and Ora Bell Casto Randolph. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and retired from Kaiser Aluminum, where he was a mechanic. He was known as a good Christian man who enjoyed good preaching and gospel music. Mr. Randolph enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Anna Whited Randolph; sons, Robert Randolph and his wife, Connie, of Ripley and Jeffrey Randolph and his wife, Sheila, of Ripley; grandchildren, Rhonda (Timothy) Burgess, Brian (Erin) Randolph, Cary (Brandi) Randolph, Melissa Ryan and Matthew Randolph; and great-grandchildren, Megan Randolph, Brady Randolph, Madaline Randolph, Stephanie Gruber, Elijah Randolph, Whitney Randolph, Chole Randolph, Raquel Burgess, Daniel Burgess, Makayla Ryan, Elijah Ryan and Lydia Ryan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Audrey Skeen and Alma Jones.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastor Aaron Melhorn officiating. Burial will be in Fairplain Cemetery, near Ripley.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
