JR Combs, 69, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 21, 2015. He was the son of the late Ray and Kathleen Combs of Charleston. He was also preceded in death by his sister Cookie and brother Brian.
JR was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson, class of '64, Army veteran, Sheet Metal Worker, Graduate degree from WV State in Criminology and retired from his own P.I. business, Fact Finders.
Survived by his wife of 50 years Linda, daughter Mindy, her husband Pat, granddaughter Britney-Rae and grandson Dean of Pinckney, MI, brother Gene of FL and sister Tammy of RI.
JR was a member of Providence Baptist Church of South Charleston. The memorial service will be held there Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 1 p.m. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Pastor Travis Bradley officiating.
JR loved God and his family and will always be remembered for making us all laugh! And as JR would say, "Merry Christmas."
