Josefina G. "Josie" Baria, 72, of St. Albans, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 16, 2016 at Angel's Touch Personal Care Home.
She was born March 17, 1943 in Cebu City, Philippines, the daughter of Tomas and Bon Bon Rufina Gabonia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Frank O. Baria, Jr.
Josie was owner and proprietor of Josie's Alterations, a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and a devout Catholic.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Andrew Baria and his wife, Mary Ann, of St. Albans; brother, Jose Gabonia; and sister, Basing Acolbe, both of the Phillipines.
Mass of Christian Rite will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Patrick McDonough officiating.
Gathering of family and friends will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church, where a Rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
