Margaret June Bell, 69, of Chapmanville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Feb. 13, 2016 at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington.

She was born Feb. 13, 1947 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Linnis K. and Nina Hargis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Edward Bell; one brother, David A. Hargis; and her father- and mother-in-law, Valentine and Priscilla T. Bell.

June was a loving wife, mother, friend and sister in Christ. She will be missed dearly by many. When you became a friend of June's, you were a friend for life. She thought often of you, prayed fervently for you daily and would call to wish you a happy birthday or to just say hello and see how things were going. Margaret was a child and servant of Jesus Christ for 52 years, a member of Independent Baptist Church of Hamlin and a retired teacher from the Logan Board of Education.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, William E. "Billy" (Elizabeth) Bell of Chapmanville; special friend, Tammy McCoy of Chapmanville; and a host of other family and friends.

Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, at Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, with Pastor Timothy L. Pauley officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be her church family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests monetary donations to be made to William Bell, 139 Country Club Drive, Chapmanville, WV 25508.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, is in charge of the arrangements.
