Russell "Geno" Leadmon, 72, of Belle, passed away Feb. 12, 2016 after a short illness.
Geno was, above all, a family man. He was known for making everyone feel welcome and loved with an open door to all. Geno was an avid sports lover who enjoyed coaching Little League for years, and was a lifelong Bengals and Mountaineer fan. His favorite pastime was playing softball on Sundays with the Quincy crew. If he wasn't on the field you could find him at the river with his fishing line in the water.
Geno is survived by his lifelong partner, Rose Marie Reeves; daughters, Rebecca Zakas of Belle and Lisa Leadmon (Sylvia) of Orange County, Calif.; sons, Gregory "Al" Reeves (Melody) of Charleston and Scotty Reeves (Amber) of Belle; grandchildren, Timi Edwards, John Zakas, Sadie and Dayton Reeves and Mya Proctor; great-granddaughter, Leighton Messner; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Cooper (Randy) and Roberta Newhouse (Leroy); nieces and nephews, Rosa Fauber, Randi Cooper, Tara Lipscomb, James and John Newhouse and Jennifer Fields; great-nieces and -nephews, Nova, Colton and Bradley Kidd, Corey Fauber, Jayden and Emiley Piscopo, Brianna Lipscomb, Jackston and Gage Fields; special friends who he treated like sons, Teddy Kuhn, Brian and Benji Burns; and countless friends and a huge extended family.
The family will be honoring Geno's last wishes of no services and cremation. We will forever cherish the time and memories we have with him. He will be truly missed but never forgotten. Fidler and Frame Funeral Home is assisting the Leadmon family.
