Charley, 78, of Dixie, passed away at his home on Jan. 7, 2016 with his wife by his side.
He was born Oct. 22, 1937 to the late Dencil and Agnes Farley Baker.
Charley is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mona Sue Smarr Baker; daughter, Tamra Christie (Jim) of Lebanon, Ohio; son, Charles Thomas "Tom" Baker, Jr. (Darcy) of Cranberry Township, Pa.; grandsons, Jordan Singleton of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Tommy Baker of Gibsonia, Pa.; granddaughters, Candice Mayer (Scott) of Broomfield, Colo., Madeline Baker (Cody) of Crozet, Va., and Karley Baker of Gibsonia, Pa.; and four great-granddaughters, Abi, Juliana, Noelle and Moira.
Charley was retired from Ford Motor Company in Cincinnati, Ohio, with 38 years of service.
He was an avid hunter and an amateur radio operator. He was a member of McMakin Lodge No. 0120, Mount Healthy, Ohio, for more than 40 years.
His favorite pastime was the company of his family and friends and his loving Yorkie, Lucy.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at Bell Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Dixie, where he was a member. Pastor Shane Wynn will be officiating. The church will be open one hour prior to the service for family and friends.
