Thomas "Jr" Cook, 68, of Seth, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016 at his home.
He was born Jan. 14, 1948 in West Virginia, a son of the late Thomas Lacy and Alice Krepps Cook. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as an MP. Jr was the owner of Tommy Lee Trucking and a member of New Life Church of God, Seth.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patsy Little Cook, and daughter, Peggy Cook.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Cook of Seth; son, Mark (April) Cook of Peytona; daughters, Kim (Marilyn) Cook of Belle, Brenda (Carlos) Barker of Ashford and Terri (Robert) Barker of Ashford; sister, Omajean (Mike) Wooten of Peytona; grandchildren, Tommy Lee Cook of Ashford, Kaitlyn Cook, Alison Cook and Lindsey Cook, all of Peytona, Jimmy Smith of Belle, Robert Lee Barker of Ashford, Layne Barker of Ashford and Miranda Justice of Kentucky; and mother-in-law, Martha Little "Little Mamaw" of Ashford.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at New Life Church of God, Seth, with Pastor Barnette officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas, with military graveside rites by VFW Post 5578, Madison.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church.
