Patricia Lyon-Pruden

Patricia Ann Lyon-Pruden, 70, went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 1, 2016 at her home in New Smyrna Beach, Fla., surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 24, 1945 in Charleston to the late Arthur and Mildred Egnor.

She retired as a teacher from New Smyrna High School. She was the director at what was formerly known as the Kanawha Home for Children in Dunbar during the 1990s. Patricia was a graduate of South Charleston High School and West Virginia State College.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Art Egnor.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 21 years, Daniel Pruden; daughter, Susie Lyon-Jarrell and husband, Bob, of St. Albans; son, Fred Lyon of St. Albans; stephdaughter, Danielle Shomo and husband, Preston, of Charleston; grandchildren, James Frye and Lela Shomo; brother, Timmy Egnor and wife, Becky, of Palm Coast, Fla.; nieces, Erin Ann and Erika Egnor; and nephew, Ian Egnor.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.

Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar.
