Holley "Jack" Coyner, of Hurricane, died on Dec. 10, 2015. He was born on Aug. 4, 1922, to Ivan and Allie Taylor Coyner. Jack was predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Agnes Croson Coyner; and his parents.
He is survived by his son, Ivan "Jack" Coyner and wife, Katy; grandsons, Todd, Scott and Chris; great-grandchildren, Christoper and Morgan; and great-great-granddaughter, Aubrey.
Jack was a member of the Hurricane Church of the Nazarene and Putnam Lodge #139. He graduated from Hurricane High School and Capital City Commercial College and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Retired after 38 years as a rural route mail carrier in the Hurricane area, he had also worked for C&O Railroad, Union Carbide and as a carpenter with local contractors.
The body was donated for medical research purposes.
