CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - A Charles Town man convicted of killing his wife will serve at least 15 years in prison.
The Journal reports that a Jefferson County Circuit Court jury found Harold Stambaugh Jr., 43, guilty of first-degree murder on Friday. Judge David. H. Saunders sentenced Stambaugh to 15 years to life in prison. Stambaugh will be eligible for parole after serving 15 years.
Prosecutors say Stambaugh fatally shot his wife, Victoria, at her mother's residence in Charles Town on Nov. 7, 2014. Stambaugh then shot and wounded himself.
