The wreck was reported when a vehicle crashed into a pole in the area of the 5700 block of MaccCorkle Avenue westbound at about 4 a.m. and power was restored by about 7:30 a.m., the dispatcher said.
One lane of traffic remained closed.
AEP had originally said it could take until 11 a.m. to restore power.
