Rosalie Mae Garner Ellis, 93, of Hurricane, passed away Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015 at home.
Born May 1, 1922 in Colorado, she was a daughter of the late John and Arlene Garner. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 55-plus years, Homer Ellis; daughter, Judith Scarberry; and brothers, Tom Garner, George Garner and Charles Garner.
Rosalie attended Mount Tabor Church of God, St. Albans, and was completely devoted to her family. She also supported her country as a Rosie Riveter. Rosalie was a member of Hansford Senior Center, St. Albans.
Surviving are her children, Charles (Judy) Ellis of Decatorville, Tenn., David Ellis of St. Albans, Douglas (Robin) of St. Albans and Clyde (Connie) Ellis of Hurricane; sister, Virginia Garner of Montana; brothers, Roy Garner, Fred Garner and Bob Garner, all of Phoenix, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane, with Pastor Harold Richards officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Tabor Cemetery, St. Albans.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
