Hilda I. Bailey, 65, of Charleston, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015 at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Hilda was born Nov. 13, 1950 in Richwood, daughter of the late Archie and Catherine Brown Bailey. She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Milroy Brown; brother, Archie Bailey; and her nephew, James Summers.
She was a beautician in Kanawha City and worked as a resident assistant at Charleston Gardens.
Hilda is survived by her daughter, Nikki Mazzella Vance and husband, Chuck, and her granddaughter, Addison, of Orlando, Fla.; son, Andrew Beard and his girlfriend, Miranda, and her granddaughter, Aubree, of Charleston; sister, Brenda Summers and husband, Mike, and nephew, Michael, of Atlanta, Ga.; and brother, Emil Bailey, and her nephews, Emil Jr. and Jeremy, of Beckley.
A celebration of Hilda's life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at Harding Funerals & Cremations with Pastor Carl Day officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to help with her funeral expenses.
