Roundup: Charleston men shut out Shepherd 6-0

The University of Charleston dominated in all phases, earning a 6-0 shutout victory on the road at Shepherd Thursday evening in Mountain East Conference men's soccer.

The No. 3 ranked Golden Eagles (15-1 overall, 10-1 MEC) outshot the Rams 38-2 and had five different players score goals, led by Will Roberts with two.

Also for UC, Jermaine Windster, Dion Stergiotis, Leighton Richards and Augusto Maciel scored goals.

n The University of Charleston women's team trailed at halftime before rallying in the second half to salvage a 2-2 tie at Shepherd.

Trailing 1-0 at the half, UC (9-3-5, 8-3-4) scored the equalizer on a own goal. After the Rams retook the lead, the Golden Eagles tied things up on a goal by Hannah Myers with a little over 12 minutes left in the game.

UC owned a 19-9 advantage over Shepherd (7-7-3, 6-6-3) in shots on goal. Zoe Zyta made four saves for the Golden Eagles. Samantha Leonard scored both goals for the Rams.
