Stevie Hammond threw for 345 yards and six touchdowns Friday night as host Mingo Central won its sixth straight, a 62-12 conquest of Scott.
Hammond, who completed 16 of 25 attempts, also ran 1 yard for a second-quarter score for the Miners (7-1), who entered the game as the No. 6 team in the Class AA playoff ratings.
Taylor Thornsbury, subbing for team rushing leader Deonte Joplin, ran for 219 yards and two TDs for the Miners and caught five passes for 104 yards and another score. Stephen Whitt caught five passes for 113 yards and three TDs.
For the Skyhawks (2-7), Alan Johnson scored off a lateral on a 75-yard kickoff return and Codie Loftus ran back an interception for a TD.
Huntington 70, St. Albans 6: Dionne Jackson touched the ball four times on offense and scored on all four as the host Highlanders (7-2) cruised.
Jackson caught scoring passes of 37 and 69 yards from Jaylen Adaway and ran twice for 35 yards and two TDs. He also returned an interception for a fifth score, but the TD was negated by an illegal block penalty.
The Red Dragons (1-7), who were limited to a net of 146 yards, scored in the fourth quarter on a 16-yard run by freshman quarterback Nathan Roy. One of SA's top players, Jacob Grigsby, sat out with an injury.
Huntington, which led 56-0 at halftime, also got a 64-yard punt return TD from Terrance Tate.
Braxton County 34, Webster County 0: Heath Cottrill connected on 14 of 18 passes for 161 yards and two touchdowns to pace the visiting Eagles (5-3) to victory. Ben Fincham returned a punt 75 yards for a Braxton score and Seth Arnold landed both TD receptions.
For the Highlanders (2-6), Walker Rose ran for 42 yards and completed 7 of 19 passes.
Greenbrier East 21, Parkersburg South 3: Zayvion Lawson rushed 31 times for 156 yards and two TDs as the visiting Spartans (5-3) kept alive hopes for their first playoff berth since 1998. Lawson broke the school record for rushing yards in a season, pushing his total to 1,783.
The Patriots (4-4) were held to 105 total yards and got their only points on a 24-yard Walker Riddle field goal to trail 6-3 midway into the third quarter.
Van 46, Cameron 20: Brady Grant ran for 315 yards and five TDs on 26 carries as the Bulldogs (7-2) kept their playoff hopes alive.
Logan Crouse added 127 yards and two TDs on 10 carries for Van, which began the game tied for 15th in Class A.
Wahama 39, Miller (Ohio) 21: Jared Nutter ran for 176 yards and three TDs and caught a scoring pass for the victorious host White Falcons (4-5).
Philip Hoffman ran for one score, threw a TD pass and completed 7 of 15 attempts for 109 yards for Wahama.
