Freda Nichols Hamilton, 98, of Belle, passed away Monday, Sept. 21, 2015 at the Ansted Center. She was born in Nallen on Nov. 25, 1916, being the eldest and last surviving child of the late Romie H. "Snip" and Lona M. Strickland Nichols. Freda resided in Belle for over 60 years. She was a Christian and member of Judson Baptist Church and Lydia Sunday School Class in Belle.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, W.G. "Glennis" Hamilton; brother, Cecil Nichols; and sisters, Zela Smith, Alice Blackhurst and Betty Neamtz.
She is survived by her daughter, Martha Jean Morriston and husband, Sam, of Mount Nebo; granddaughter, Jennifer Ann Ervine and husband, Mike, of Urbana, Ohio; grandson, Justin Wade Morriston and wife, Vickie, of Keslers Cross Lanes; and three great-grandchildren, Alivia Kate Ervine, Emily Paige and Jacob Wade Morriston.
Graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at Walker Memorial Park, Summersville, with Pastor Arnold Nicholas officiating.
Waters Funeral Chapel, Summersville, is in charge of arrangements.
