Delbert "Buck" Harrison, 89, of Red House, passed away Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015 at his home, following a long illness. He was a World War II veteran, having served in Italy. He was a retiree of American Viscose. He enjoyed playing bluegrass music and working on cars.
Born Sept. 15, 1926 in Putnam County, he was the son of the late Leonard A. Harrison and Virgie Landers Harrison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Margaret N. Harrison; son, Dan Harrison; sister, Glendola Lovejoy; and his brother, Kenneth Harrison.
Survivors include his sons, Timothy Harrison of Red House, Mike (Debbie) Harrison of St. Cloud, Fla., and Bobby (Diana) Harrison of Madison; brother, Donnie Harrison of South Carolina; sister, Shirley Sullivan of Point Pleasant; and grandchildren, Hope (Willie) Wilson, Roy Harrison, Andrew Harrison and Ashlea Harrison, along with his great-grandson, Levi.
Graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at Haven of Rest Memory Gardens, Red House.
