Franklin Bailey Sr.

Mr. Franklin David Bailey, Sr., 73, of Nitro, passed away September 4, 2015, in the Hubbard Hospice House West. He was a retired diesel mechanic with Chemical Leaman with 31 years of service; member of Teamsters Local #175 and attended Kings Way Christian Church and Faith Missionary Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Thelma Bailey; parents, Homer and Elizabeth Fore Bailey; and sisters and brothers, Emogene Withrow, Donna Hedrick, Geraldine Saunders, Harless Bailey, Regnial Bailey and Carolyn Sue Bailey.

Frank is survived by his special friend, Donna Wilcox; children, Franklin D. Bailey, Jr. and wife, Tara, Lisa Young and husband, Samuel, Vernon Jackson, Bryant and wife, Lesa Jackson, Lisa Gale and husband, Vic Keathley, Jr. and Emmadean Nutter; sisters, Donnie Lovejoy and Bernadean Suttler; 15 grandchildren; several great- grandchildren; and a host of friends.

A tribute to the life of Frank will be 3 p.m. Sun. Sept. 6, at Haven of Rest Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Pastors Michael Hager and Gene Brooks officiating. Entombment will follow in the memory gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
