Do people really think that by taking down the Confederate flag that it will fix what's going on in this country? I wish it were that simple.
I can't believe that West Virginia American Water wants a pay hike. They need to fix the worn-out water lines in West Virginia. That's the problem - we can't take care of all of their repairs. Every time you turn around there's a leak.
It is wonderful living in the Charleston area. Last week no power, this week no water. I guess the utility service commission will reward AEP and West Virginia American Water with yet another raise.

Your op-ed "Academics still take a back seat ..." was a shocker - good for you for carrying it! That an apparently dedicated, thoughtful, intelligent professor is willing to teach a much-needed service course in the summer for half pay is a scandal.
Not so quick: Complaints equating abortions with shootings is hypocritical, to say the least. Living humans starved, thrown out in the cold by taking away rights to health care, food, housing, lack of gun laws etc. outnumber erroneous abortion claims by right-wing assassin vote-getters.
