Helen Jean Chewning, 80, of Madison, passed away Sept 2, 2015 at Logan Regional Medical Center, Logan.
She was a member of Bible Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Connie Mack Chewning, and son, Stephen Mack Chewning.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Ann Pauley; grandsons, Jay Thurmond of Rock Hill, S.C., Jason Thurmond of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Stephen Chewning, Jr. of Ashford; and great-grandchildren, Kierstyn Thurmond, Jordan Thurmond, Kobe Thurmond, McKynzee Tippett, Hailey Chewning, Stephen Chewning II, Jonathan Chewning and Tanner Thurmond.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, with the Rev. John Barker officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.
